‘MUSICAL ELEVATIONS AT VESPERS’: ORGAN MUSIC IN ST MARK’S BASILICA

It will be possible to listen to organ music played by the concert organist Roberto Micconi at the ‘Musical Elevations at Vespers’ in the wonderful setting of St Mark’s Basilica during Lent 2013. This is a very important and evocative occasion on which Micconi, the St Mark’s Basilica organist distinguished by numerous international awards, will play music by A. De Cabezon, F. Correa De Arauxo, D. De Torrijos, J Bull, J. Stanley, L. Boellmann, L. Vierne, J.L.Krebs, H. Scheidemann, J.E.Bach and J.S. Bach. The first date is Sunday 17 February at 5 pm, with music by Antonio De Cabezon, Francisco Correa De Arauxo and Diego De Torrijos. Other concerts will follow, all at 5 pm, on 24 February, 3 March, 10 March and 24 March. Entrance from the Piazzetta dei Leoncini.
