AFTER THE ‘BUD’ IN ST MARK’S SQUARE COMES THE ‘HEART’

‘Venezia e la Giustizia –Essere Venezia’ is the twelfth event that ‘Venezia Rilevata’ will present on 20 September in the Square after the success of a similar one held on 25 April 2014. A year ago a living ‘Bud’ was formed that went around the world, while in a few days the big living design that will occupy St Mark’s Square will be a big ‘Heart’, which will be lit up at sunset to demonstrate the Venetians’ great love of their city. The participants will be dressed in white, to represent purity, and will recall the great history that the Serenissima Republic had in the field of human rights and justice. The Venetians invited to this performance of Land Art by the artist Elena Tagliapietra will be fundamental actors. The writer Alberto Toso Fei will meanwhile recite ancient stories and anecdotes on Venice’s laws on the abolition of the slave trade and child labour.
