AN APRIL 25TH OF FESTIVITY AND TOASTS IN ST MARK’S SQUARE

It was a festive April 25th in St Mark’s Square with thousands of people filling this historic place. A lively square and not only because of the ‘Venetists’ who came to celebrate the patron saint in their own way, but because of a beautiful living ‘bud’ formed by more than 1000 Venetians in the square to a design by the artist Elena Tagliapietra. But lots of good cheer and plenty of smiles were also apparent under the St Mark’s bell tower, thanks to the Associazione Piazza San Marco’s ‘Ombra de vin’ initiative and a stand that quickly filled with people wanting to celebrate April 25th with some good wine. Numerous members and friends of the association did not want to miss out on this traditional appointment.
