BOOK LAUNCH: ‘VENEZIANI PER SCELTA’ ON 20 NOVEMBER 2012 AT THE CAFFE' FLORIAN

The press conference for the book launch of ‘Veneziani per scelta - I racconti di chi ha deciso di vivere in laguna’ by Caterina Falomo and Manuela Pivato, with a preface by Roberto Bianchin, published by STUDIO LT2, will take place at 11.30 am on Tuesday 20 November at the historic Caffè Florian in St Mark’s Square, Venice. Caterina Falomo and Manuela Pivato, Giovanni Pelizzato, STUDIO LT2 publisher, Roberto Bianchin, journalist, and some of those interviewed will be attending the press conference. ‘Veneziani per scelta’ is the third book after ‘Quando c'erano i veneziani’ (StudioLT2, 2010) and ‘I nuovi veneziani’ (Studio LT2, 2011), and is a collection of interviews with people who for reasons of love, work, or chance (but never by chance) have chosen Venice as their home. Lively stories full of love for a city now abandoned by those who were born here. Those interviewed include PAOLO BARATTA, IRENE BIGNARDI, PIERRE CARDIN, FRANCES CLARKE, ANDREA DI ROBILANT, DANILO MAINARDI, OTTAVIA PICCOLO and GINO STRADA. The illustrations are by Sergio Staino.
