DEGREE-DAY IN PIAZZA SAN MARCO, WITH 500 STUDENTS

For one day on the 1st July and from every year thereafter, Piazza San Marco will become the Aula Magna of Ca' Foscari, for the Degree Ceremony of the University of Venice. 700 graduates from the summer session of the academic year 2009-2010 will receive their degrees plus their traditional dark-rectangular hat on a specially-erected stage in front of an audience of about 2,500 people, comprising themselves and their families.
