End of summer drink on 2 October 2013 at the Gelateria al Todaro

The president of the Associazione Piazza San Marco Alberto Nardi (photo) invites all members, friends and city authorities to the Gelateria al Todaro in St Mark’s Square on Wednesday 2 October 2013 at 6 pm. The association and the owner of the Gelateria al Todaro are holding the traditional END OF SUMMER DRINK, a sociable meeting but also an opportunity to remind the public of all the actions taken by the association to upgrade and dignify the St Mark’s area. In these months the association has always been an important point of reference for the city’s institutions and authorities on various projects and decisions made to safeguard the Square and adjacent areas. Important initiatives like the San Marco Guardians project, which we have illustrated several times in previous news items, or the recent information campaign against feeding pigeons and the illegal sale of grain, achieved considerable press coverage and major recognition not only by the institutions but also the public. The association has also worked on important cultural projects this summer, among which note must be made of the Festival of Europe, a prestigious international event that mainly involved the St Mark’s area and the Square itself, with its historic cafes becoming the venues for important debates, appointments and events. These many events and initiatives are indications of an active and dynamic association, a vibrant association that is worthy of a drink with all its friends and supporters next Wednesday 2 October.
