ST MARK’S SQUARE ONCE AGAIN FILLED WITH CA’ FOSCARI GRADUATES

On Saturday 6 July 2013 700 new doctoral graduates and their families filled the most beautiful drawing room in the world with joyfulness and smiles. St Mark’s Square was once again the splendid setting for the day that ‘laurelled’ and ‘saluted’ 700 former students, who from today will face important new challenges in the world of work. The eminent guest on the stage erected for this Ca’ Foscari final festival was the writer Margaret Mazzantini, who expressed her warm greetings and best wishes to all the graduates. The rector Carlo Carraro also obviously took part in the ceremony and recalled the university’s numerous and prestigious achievements. At the end, the launch of the mortarboards confirmed a general salute from the new graduates to their university.
